The Fort Williams ruins are down an unnamed road turn off, off of Shore Road, on the coast of Fort Williams Park, the town of Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland County, Maine. Fort Williams was built in part as a sub post to the Spring Point Fort Preble, in 1872. The military post was named Fort Williams after Brevet Major General Seth Williams in 1899.
