Medfield State Hospital (also Medfield Insane Asylum or Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane) is off Hospital Road, along Center Street, South Street, Cottage Street, West Street, East Street, North Street, Garden Street and Servie Drive in the town of Medfield, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. The Medfield State Hospital was constructed from 1892 until its completion and opening in 1896. Medfield spanned over 900 acres and in its peak had 58 buildings and a patient count of over 2,200.
