Virginia Banner Coal Company Store Abandoned in Dickenson County

Along Dante Mountain Road (VA-Route-63) in Trammel, Virginia lay a few abandoned buildings and the former Trammel Coal Co. company store. The community was made of miners of coal. The coal seams can still be seen today.

Less than 3 miles away lies the top of Dante’s peak. Through to this lies some of what was in the early days of Trammel when a train line and more came through.
